"Sanchin" - 2025

  

        Another inked drawing.  Lighting and anatomy are still inconsistent but getting more comfortable with a quill.  Slowly figuring out when, where, and how much spacing to use for hatching.  Using the quill still feels so alien, as you obviously can't use it like a pencil.   I find my work stiffens up considerably as I'm still trying to feel out how much pressure to use without bending the nib to much, the right angle of the nib on the paper etc.  Lots of problems to solve but it's been fun.
