I really like these, i['m not sure if you've read it or not, but i think a very good reference when working with black and white, is the black and white edition of The Bone, comic book. It's more comic-ish style and less actiony then your drawings here, but his use of contrast and composition is really masterful and can be applied to different styles, i think.

damn..i feel like drawing batman too
this is wonderful. absolutely wonderful. if you did a whole book in this style, maybe with simple narration, I would buy it.
